India is ready to “land” on moon

India has successfully launched its first spacecraft, the Chandrayaan 1. The mission blasted off from the state of Andhra Pradesh to embark on a two-year mission. Much for controversy when thinking on other uses for the nearly 80 million USD that the mission is expected to cost, especially in a country with around 90 percent of its population in poverty.
